Plinko reviews: what people are actually reviewing, and our verdict on the game

Search plinko reviews from Britain and you get a Trustpilot page for plinko.com, a Reddit thread about somebody's mum and Plinko Master, a press release, and two UK casino blogs. They are reviewing four different things. We sort them, then review the one that is a game.

Plinko reviews are a mess because Plinko is four things. It is a casino game at Gambling Commission licensed sites, built by half a dozen studios with RTPs from 94% to 99%. It is a family of app-store reward games (Plinko Master, Plinko Carnival, Plink Space) that show a cash balance and never pay it. It is plinko.com, an offshore crypto casino with a Trustpilot page. And it is a TV game show segment from 1983 that half the Quora answers are about. A one-star review of Plinko Master tells you nothing about Plinko at bet365, and the UK search results stack them on top of each other.

So this page does two jobs. First it sorts what the reviews on the first page of Google are actually reviewing. Then it reviews the thing that is a game, version by version, with a verdict.

What the top UK reviews are about

Trustpilot: plinko.com. The top result. plinko.com is a crypto casino built around the game, not a UK-licensed operator and not a studio. Its reviews are the usual offshore mix: bonus praise from new accounts, withdrawal complaints from older ones. Relevant if you were considering that site; irrelevant to the game, which is the same Plinko engine licensed casinos run, minus the licence.

Reddit: r/AskUK, "my mum downloaded a game called plinko master". The most useful result on the page, because it describes the reward-app loop exactly: the balance climbs to ยฃ99 of a ยฃ100 cash-out, then the app wants fifty ad views, then a referral, then the threshold is ยฃ200. The replies are correct. It is not a casino game and it does not pay.

Reddit: r/Slovakia, "is Plinko a legit game or a scam". Translated thread about the casino game, with answers that land where we do: the game is fair at a licensed site, the edge is real, the apps are not the game.

The press release. "Plinko Reviews: is Plinko Legit or Scam?" on a newswire is an advert for an offshore casino formatted as a question. Skip it.

Prime Casino and Slotzo blogs. Two UK-licensed casino blogs that sort the apps from the game, name Plinko Master and Plinko Carnival as the problem, and then give generic "check for a UKGC licence" advice. Fine as far as they go. Neither tells you the RTP of any version, which is the only thing a review of a casino game needs to say.

Fake Plinko reward apps from the app stores beside the real casino Plinko board Most negative Plinko reviews are about the left-hand side.

The reward apps, reviewed in one paragraph

Plinko Master, Plinko Carnival, Plink Space, Plink Online, Lucky Plinko and the MrBeast-branded ones that MrBeast has nothing to do with are the same product with different art. You drop balls, a "cash" counter rises, and a withdrawal button sits behind a threshold that moves when you reach it. The revenue is ad impressions; the balance is a number in the app. We have never found a credible report of one paying, and the store reviews, the Reddit threads and the Medium test all say the same. They are not casino games, they are not gambling, and they are not regulated by anyone. Our UK Plinko app page names them and shows which licensed apps have the real game instead.

The casino game, reviewed properly

Now the thing with an RTP. Plinko the casino game: a ball drops from the top of a pyramid of pegs, bounces left or right at each row, and lands in one of a row of multiplier buckets along the bottom. You choose the number of rows (8 to 16 in most versions) and a risk level (low, medium, high) which reshapes the bucket values: low risk flattens them towards 1x, high risk hollows out the centre to 0.2x and pushes the edges to 1,000x. There is no cash-out decision and no timing; the stake and the settings are the whole input.

Plinko bucket multipliers compared across low, medium and high risk at 16 rows Same board, three risk settings. High risk is not "more chance to win". It is the same RTP with a different shape.

Fairness. At a licensed casino the landing bucket is decided before the ball moves, by a certified RNG or, in Spribe's and Stake's versions, a provably fair seed you can check afterwards. The bounce animation is a drawing of a result already fixed. This is why "Plinko is rigged" is not a serious claim about the game at a UKGC site; the operator cannot touch a round. It is a reasonable claim about an unlicensed site running a copied engine, which is why the licence matters more than the studio.

RTP by version. This is the review. The board is the same everywhere; the maths is not.

Version RTP Where a UK player finds it
Stake Originals Plinko 99% Offshore only since Stake's UK exit in 2025
BGaming Plinko About 99% Mostly offshore, occasionally licensed lobbies
Spribe Plinko, low risk 99% Licensed UK sites, returning after the 2025-26 Spribe suspension
Spribe Plinko, high risk 97% As above
Hacksaw Gaming Plinko Published in panel, mid-90s Licensed UK sites
bet365 in-house Plinko Published in panel bet365 only
1X2 Gaming Plinko Go 94% Betfair and some other licensed sites

Five points of RTP is the difference between a 1% edge and a 6% one. On ยฃ100 of drops that is ยฃ1 against ยฃ6 in expected loss; across a year of evenings it is the cost of a decent weekend away. The version is the review. The interface is cosmetic.

What it feels like. Low risk at 16 rows is a slow drain with the occasional 10x. High risk is a long run of 0.2x and 0.5x buckets with a 1,000x somewhere in the next several thousand drops, which auto play will reach while you are not looking at the balance. Medium is medium. None of it changes the expected return at a given RTP; it changes how long the balance lasts and what the session feels like on the way down.

Our verdict.

Plinko at a Gambling Commission licensed casino is a legitimate, fair, low-edge game when you play a 97% to 99% version, and an unremarkable 94% one when you do not. The reward apps that share its name are not legitimate, not games of chance in any regulated sense, and not worth the install. The offshore sites that run the best-RTP versions trade one or two points of RTP for the loss of every UK consumer protection, which is a bad trade for anyone who ever needs to withdraw. Read the RTP line in the info panel, play a licensed version, set a deposit limit, and Plinko is one of the gentler ways to lose money slowly. It is still a way to lose money.

All three are on GAMSTOP, take debit cards, PayPal and Apple Pay, and show the RTP in the game's information panel. The UK Plinko page has the demo and the version at each site, the real money page covers stakes and withdrawals in pounds, and the UK crash games hub sets out which other games are licensed here. For the maths of the board itself, rows, risk and why the edge buckets are not where the ball goes, the global Plinko page is the long version.

Frequently asked questions

Is Plinko legit?

The casino game is. Plinko at a Gambling Commission licensed casino is built by a licensed studio, tested by an approved lab, and pays out according to a published RTP between about 94% and 99% depending on the version. The reward apps called Plinko in the app stores are a different product that does not pay out at all. Most 'Plinko is a scam' reviews are about the apps.

Is Plinko rigged?

Not at a licensed casino, in the sense that the result of each drop is decided by a certified random number generator or a provably fair seed before the ball moves, and the operator cannot alter it. The animation is presentation. Rigged in the sense of 'the house has an edge' is true of every casino game, and Plinko's edge is 1% to 6% depending on the version.

Has anyone ever won money on Plinko?

On the casino game, every day; any drop that lands in a bucket above 1x pays more than the stake, and the 1,000x edge buckets hit occasionally. On the reward apps, no one that we or the store reviews can find. The question usually comes from the apps, and the answer there is that nobody has been paid.

Does Plinko pay out real money?

At a licensed casino, yes: wins go to your account balance and withdraw to your debit card, PayPal or bank within hours to a few days. At a reward app, no: the 'cash' balance is a number in the app, and the withdrawal threshold moves. The two are not related despite the shared name.

What is plinko.com and why is its Trustpilot rating so low?

plinko.com is a crypto casino site built around the game, unconnected to any UK-licensed operator. Its Trustpilot page ranks first in the UK for 'plinko reviews' and is a mix of withdrawal complaints and bonus praise, which is typical of offshore sites. It is not licensed by the Gambling Commission, so a UK player there has no ADR or GAMSTOP cover.

What is the RTP of Plinko?

It depends on the version. Spribe's Plinko is 97% to 99% by risk level, with low risk highest. Stake's original is 99%. BGaming's is around 99%. Hacksaw's and bet365's in-house versions publish their own figures in the game panel. Betfair's Plinko Go by 1X2 Gaming is 94%. Read the panel, because a five-point spread is a lot.

Is Plinko Master a scam?

Plinko Master is an ad-funded reward app, not a casino game. Its reviews, the Reddit thread about it, and the Medium post titled 'I tested it myself' all describe the same pattern: a balance that approaches the cash-out line and stalls, more ads, a moved threshold, no payment. We would not install it, and it has nothing to do with Plinko at a licensed casino.

Which Plinko version is best?

For RTP, Stake's original and BGaming's at 99%, but neither is at a UK-licensed casino. Among licensed UK versions, Spribe's at low risk (99%) when it is in the lobby, then bet365's own; avoid the 94% builds unless you enjoy the interface enough to pay for it. 'Best' here means lowest house edge, because the board is otherwise the same.
